A New Year's Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as adventurous. Some resolutions could refer to improved health, finances, career or education. Recent research shows that while 52% of participants in a resolution study were confident with success with their goals, yet only 12% actually achieved their goals. You don't often think of candy caution with this time of year. Please remember when you are looking at all the wonderful cookies with nuts, candy canes and other hard/sticky items to be careful. Breaking brackets, retainers or causing arch wires to shift can prolong treatment times and cause other opportunities for problems within your treatment. Have a wonderful holiday season. It's finally here. Winter has peeked in and brought the start of snow with it. You may have found yourself digging to the back of your closet wondering "Where are my winter coat, gloves, scarves and hat?" Also, don't forget that it is a good idea to have some items in your vehicle for the "Just in Case" situation, such as: jumper cables, folding shovel, scraper, blanket, flash light, and a basic tool kit. You never know when you will need the 1 item you thought you never would. Have a safe Winter!
